For the Love of
Black Girls
A series of workshops for educators and administrators.
The SGC Summer Retreat Series offers educators and administrators the rare opportunity to learn from the social experiences of Black students in independent schools. Here’s how it works:

1) First, our teen summer retreats and seasonal cohort meetings provide students with the safety of peers, mentors, and authentic support that motivates the girls to reach deep, think deeper, and speak even louder.

2) We offer this series, bringing that intel directly to educators like you, working to make a difference in your school environment.
3) Students’ reflections, along with decades of “boots on the ground” data and observations will be unpacked over a series of four workshops carefully designed to teach, inspire, and support educators who are ready to prioritize the mental and academic wellness of Black students in middle and high school.
Experience the magic of the Sister Circle Retreat in person for the opening and closing of the workshop series. The group will be hosted at the same beautiful, Black-owned waterfront property where Black girls on the retreat have laughed, cried, and tapped into unharnessed power of resilience and self-acceptance with the intention of unlocking their best selves yet! We offer teachers the opportunity to do the same.
