During SGC retreats we spend lots of our time in daily workshops. Some workshops from our 2023 retreat included; building lasting relationships, finding strength in identity, purposeful decision-making, social media safety, and goal setting. We also spend time introducing strategies and affirmations for girls to pull from throughout the school year.

The application process begins with completing this form to express interest. From there, someone from our team will reach out to schedule a family interview and Q&A. The Collective will invite about 12 girls to participate in the retreat. The selection process allows us to ensure that families understand the mission of the programs and know that the selectees are willing and excited participants.

Frequently Asked Questions:

"Why this retreat?"

Black girls in independent schools are accumulating a number of toxic and potentially damaging messages, experiences, and micro-aggressions daily. Because independent schools are not anchored to neighborhoods/communities, the schoolmates may represent their entire social circle. The Sister Circle Summer Retreat will provide access to other girls with shared experiences, a network of support, and hopefully, a lifetime sisterhood.
